Amouage - Beach Hut Man in general
Despite the seaside name, Beach Hut Man trades coconut and suntan lotion for something far more intriguing: a green, minty, resinous fougère that smells like a driftwood cabin at the edge of a forest rather than a tropical beach. Mint and galbanum open sharp and bracing, while vetiver, moss and myrrh build a smoky, earthy depth typical of Amouage’s uncompromising style. A distinctive choice for anyone bored of conventional “summer” scents.
The Fragrance Folio's take on Amouage - Beach Hut Man
This perfume reminds me of a vacation I went on as a little kid. We stayed on a campsite near the woods on a small Island (Ameland). The beach was about a kilometer away but our tent was right at the forest edge. It was the middle of summer but the heat didn’t bother us because we had a constant breeze. We spent all day running through the forest and grass fields with the other kids of the campsite and even though it didn’t feel like a beach vacation we could still smell the ocean nearby.
Amouage Beach Hut doesn’t remind me of the beach or ocean at all but it reminds me of the herbs, vines and grass that was on that specific campsite near the woods.
